Pipestone School of Music, Cascadia’s educational branch, was founded in 1998 by Pam and Terry Hunt.

Pipestone offers: Private music lessons on piano, strings and winds, Pipestone Youth Orchestra, Annual Pipestone Summer Music Camp, merit and needs-based music lesson scholarships thanks to the Christine Cherrington Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Pipestone Summer Camp
2024 dates: July 29th-August 2nd, with the final concert on Friday, August 2nd in the MVCC gym. Registration open, due by July 1st.
The Pipestone Summer Music Camp is held at the Methow Valley Community Center every summer. The Camp’s faculty is comprised of a group of accomplished local musicians and dedicated teachers. This fun, high-energy week culminates in a public performance, held in the gym of the Methow Valley Community Center on the last day of camp.
The camp is divided into two sections:
- String Orchestra 9:30am- 2pm
For children 8 or older who have played strings at least one year and competently read music (in first position).
- Chamber Music 12:15 – 5pm
For strings students who have played a minimum of three years and read music fluently.
